Another aspect of our Scoopy For The Future Initiative was the Scoopy Feeds Vic campaign. After a long year of lockdowns in 2020 we knew that so many individuals were hit hard by the lingering effects of the pandemic. Many people lost their jobs, livelihoods or were unable to work during the lockdown. As result, we understood that many individuals and families were struggling to even put food on the table.

Our Scoopy Feeds Vic initiative was to give back to the community by raising awareness and donating to Fareshare Victoria so that they are able to create nutritious meals for those in need. We wanted to share the love and support we felt from our own community and transform it into force for good for our community in Melbourne.

We started brainstorming and we wanted to participate in the Footsteps Challenge that was running during the time of our campaign. We invited our team to participate and help raise funds where possible. We pledged to walk between 50-150km and collectively we were all able to walk up to 1000KM. The Footsteps challenge was to raise awareness and funds for the hard working chefs in the Fareshare kitchens and how they can spend all day on their feet creating meals for those in need.

We also created our own Scoopy Feeds Vic merchandise line where 20% of revenue would be donated to FareShare. We had created our own cutlery sets, t-shirts and tote bags that would pioneer the message we were trying to share with our community. They were a HIT! Everyone was so excited about purchasing the merchandise and overall we we're able to raise over $7000 and over 5000 meals for FareShare during the month of November.

It was great to see our team and community band together to give back to those who needed it.
