Our new home: Brick Lane Cafe
As luck would have it, we found a new home within weeks and have been grateful for the opportunity to continue providing the best scoops in Melbourne
Sometimes life finds a way, and Scoopy had found a breath of new life. A few weeks before Scoopy's closure at HWKR, through one of the Scoopy owner's friend (shoutout to Matt), an idea of bringing bingsu to Matt's family cafe was in discussion.
Initially as a collaboration and fun offering to the cafe menu, our talks with Bricklane Cafe had begun to pivot. As we learnt about our closure at HWKR, we reached out to Bricklane in pioneering the idea that we could occupy their space when they were closed. With a great open minded cafe owner Lindsay, Scoopy saw the light at the end of a tunnel.
Within just weeks of closing HWKR, we found an opportunity for us to open! Giving our team new challenges within a new environment. It was the first time that we had our team seating customers, making drinks and tailoring a new Scoopy dine-in experience in a cafe. We knew we had a lot to learn and we were ready to take on the challenge. Our first day was met with a line that extended all along Guildford Lane. Customers were back and excited to try us in this new setting and this opening instilled in us that we had something special with Scoopy.
