Lychee Bloom: Our First Vegan Flavour
Introducing our first vegan flavour to grace the Scoopy menu. A lychee flavoured bingsu made from oat milk.
We had attempted to bring a Vegan flavour to life back in early 2019 (Coco Trio is still on the back burner) but it wasn't in the cards at the time. We still had lots of learn about creating something that was going to be vegan friendly but also friendly to our operations at Scoopy.
However, it has been a long time goal of ours at Scoopy to finally introduce a new vegan flavour to help individuals who are vegan or lactose-intolerant to indulge in our bingsu as well. We're all about trying to be as inclusive as possible with our flavours but the opportunity didn't present itself until just recently.
When trialling to create this flavour, lychee was one of the most requested new flavours we received as feedback from our Scoopy fans. So we wanted to do it, but we wanted it to be our first vegan flavour as well. Lychee paired with oat milk was a pairing we didn't realise would give us the flavour profile of lychee as well as the texture that is what our bingsu is known for.
When we announced the new Lychee Bloom flavour, the reception it received was amazing! Everyone was so excited to try it and as always we were full of nerves. Whenever you come out with a new flavour you really do hope most people enjoy it. Luckily for us, the feedback was well received and everyone loved the new addition to the Scoopy family.
Lychee Bloom is floral lychee flavour that is accompanied by toppings that add a textural element. It's not for everyone, but we now have something for everyone on our menu.
